Water-Damaged Gyprock Ceiling Repairs
Water damage can leave walls and ceilings stained, weakened or unsuitable for painting. Whether the damage has come from a roof leak, plumbing issue or another source of moisture, the affected plasterboard may need to be repaired or replaced.
BODEK can assess the damaged area and carry out the necessary gyprock repairs or replacement, including removing damaged plasterboard, installing new sheets and preparing the surface for finishing and painting.
If the original source of the leak has not been addressed, this should be resolved before repair work begins. Once the area is ready, we can take care of the plastering and painting to restore the finished surface.
Sagging & Bowed Ceiling Repairs
A sagging or bowed gyprock ceiling can develop for a number of reasons, including previous water damage, movement within the building, inadequate fixing or deterioration of existing materials. The right repair depends on the condition of the ceiling and the cause of the problem.
BODEK can assess the affected area and determine whether a repair or complete ceiling replacement is the more suitable option. Where the existing plasterboard can be retained, repairs may involve securing the sheets, replacing damaged sections and preparing the surface for finishing.
If the ceiling is too damaged or distorted to repair effectively, the affected plasterboard can be removed and replaced, with cornice and finishing work completed as required.

Gyprock Finishing & Cornice Work
Once plasterboard has been installed, the finishing work creates a clean, even surface ready for painting. BODEK takes care with joint finishing, sanding and surface preparation to achieve a neat result suited to the space.
We also install and repair cornices, including standard and more decorative profiles. Where painting is required, we can continue through to the painting stage, giving you one point of contact from plasterboard installation through to the finished surface.
